Other solutions use a single sensor to measure volume but this does not give an accurate result because parts of the item may be missed.The Cognex solution combines results from multiple sensors with a simple unique calibration method to deliver a highly accurate 3D volumetric measurement of your food item. The Cognex solution provides the user with the ability to set portion sizes and specific cut points for a slicer.
Cognex also offers an industrial IP69K enclosure to house the sensors in high temperature and wash-down areas to sanitize equipment.
